Jeffery Lustman, a candidate for State Bar Board of Governors has accused State Bar publications of failing to adhere to the [ethicscode] of the Society of Professional Journalists in their reporting and publication of discipline summaries.
You may recall that on February 16th and 17th, the Network first reported on this situation. Gerald Ulemen, Joseph Cotchett and Chief Justice Ronald George, all sit on the Editorial Advisory of California Lawyer Magazine.
Although the Network does not endorse candidates for public or State Bar office, it praises Mr. Lustman for his attempts to call attention to the need for State Bar reform.
