Rocky Could Still Land Knock-Out Punch In AG Race

Harris: Picks Up Key Endorsements

With the June Primary just weeks away, San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris has picked up some key endorsements in the Attorney General  race, including  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, SEIU and the California Legislative Black Caucus.

State Bar Members Feel Betrayed

Meanwhile Alberto Torrico is still faced with the dilemma of having to deal with  political fallout from his role in the introduction of the dubious State Bar Funding Bill – SB 55 should he win the AG’s seat.

Californians Still Looking For A Champion

Underdog Rocky Torrico seems to have the most to lose as well as the most to gain as Californians are still looking for a hero in the State Bar Conspiracy.  By informing them about what really goes on at State Bar headquarters and pulling no punches about what needs to be done, Rocky  could easily emerge as the undisputed champion.  In light of AG Brown’s recent concerns that the State is “ungovernable” such honesty by a candidate for public office would surely win votes from California citizens keenly aware that something has gone terribly wrong in Sacramento.

AG Candidate Alberto Torrico

With the State Bar Conspiracy quickly becoming a key issue in California’s race for State Attorney General, some State Bar members are asking why Assemblyman Alberto Torrico is not giving any reasons why he re-introduced the State Bar funding bill as SB 55 after Governor Schwarzenegger had vetoed State Bar funding.

California attorneys and members of the public had urged the Legislature not to fund the lawyer’s group until a full and fair investigation of its discipline system had taken place.

It seems very revealing that with the June Primary only weeks away, State Attorney General candidate Kamala Harris has not said a word about how she plans to help victims of State Bar corruption.  Did I mention it’s been reported by the Civil Justice Association of California the San Francisco District Attorney received $51,600 from plaintiffs lawyers in 2009?

Will He Take Dive For State Bar?

With $53,800 reported to have been donated to Rocky Delgadillo by plaintiff’s lawyers in 2009,* it’s doubtful the former Los Angeles City Attorney will be telling citizens much about The State Bar Conspiracy as he steps out for first round of State Attorney General’s race.
